BOUTIQUE & LUXURY HOTELS IN MAHE
Mahe is the largest of the islands in the Seychelles and is home to its capital - Victoria - and its international airport, which will likely be your first point of arrival in the Seychelles.
The island landscape is steep & hilly with dense forest-covered peaks dropping off into often picture-perfect coves that protect the white sandy beaches below. As the bigger of the islands in Seychelles it is home to many of the larger more popular ‘group’ hotels and resorts, such as the Four Seasons and the Banyan Tree, but nonetheless the island remains still relatively unspoiled.
MAIN ACCOMMODATION AREAS
The northwest coast is home to Beau Vallon, which is considered to be the island’s most popular beach and there are numerous hotels along the coastline to the South and North of the bay, all of which are well positioned for the evening sunset.
The southern coastline is a little more laid back, and offers slightly fewer hotels that tend to be somewhat further apart. These are set around some peaceful and stunning beach coves surrounded by steep, jungle hillsides, and they make excellent choices on Mahe, in our view.
Aside from relaxing on the beach and doing very little, water activities such as diving, glass bottom boat excursions and snorkeling are popular. If you like to spend time exploring the island we’d recommend hiring a car as with an island 40km in length distances are reasonable, although driving is relatively easy.
