WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT IT:

Selinda Camp has only nine luxury canvas tents, built on raised wooden decks and shaded by vast thatch canopies. The spacious tents offer a great place of respite from bustling city life back at home. A large interior, with a welcoming bed next to a writing desk spreads out to a comfortable sitting area. A roomy en-suite dressing room and bathroom offer an enveloping stone bath and shower. Views of the animals that gather at the edge of the floodplain waters can be enjoyed from a private shady veranda. At the main lodge, there are number of areas where you can relax surrounded by sights and sounds of the natural wildlife.

The Selinda spillway sustains a dense and richly populated area of animals and vegetation. Morning and afternoon game drives in custom-made open 4X4s reveal thrilling sightings, as do expertly guided bush walks, which unveil an in-depth view of the landscape that draws a myriad of bird and wildlife to its nourishing resources all year round. Afternoons are spent in the plunge pool warding off the African heat, in the cozy library or on the many surrounding decks watching the animals below. Return to a gourmet dinner under a star-filled sky and socializing around an open campfire in the evening.
