WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT IT:

La Petite Ferme is set high on the slopes of the superb Franschhoek Mountains, overlooking the Franschhoek Valley. The various suites are nestled among the vineyards of the working farm, in a pretty garden that overlooks a trout-filled lake and swathes of fynbos. A view perfectly spread out before you as you indulge in gourmet cuisine from their award-winning restaurant, built by three generations of the founding family.

5 individual cottages are all furnished in French country style as homage to the French heritage of the village. Each faces out toward the tranquil Franschhoek valley and has a private patio and plunge pool, for afternoons spent cooling off and soaking in the views.

The Manor House consists of 4 suites. Each one is uniquely themed and offers individual aspects to the room, for example the beautifully spacious library has a separate lounge area with warming fireplaces, the veranda room has an outside fireplace on the spacious patio, while the bridal suite has a dressing room and private veranda. All suites are air conditioned for the hot summer months and there is a large pool that is shared between the 4 suites in the manor house.

While the guest house offers massage treatments, wine tasting and its own award winning restaurant with live events on Friday evenings, there are also plenty of activities to partake in in Franschhoek village itself such as wine, chocolate and cheese tasting, hiking, mountain biking, shopping and a long list of chic eateries.
